Yogendra Narain joins the race for CVC

The outgoing Defence Secretary Yogendra Narain has also joined the race for the coveted post of the Chief Vigilance Commissioner (CVC). He is 1965 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre. Tenure of present CVC N Vittal is coming to an end in September.

J P Singh to be Joint Secretary Steel

J P Singh is being appointed Joint Secretary Steel in Government of India. 1977 batch UT cadre IAS officer Singh would succeed West Bengal cadre 1976 batch IAS officer K S R Kumar whose extended tenure is coming to an end on August 31.

Real brothers and DG rank

Sri Mohan Shukla and Radhey Mohan Shukla are not the only two real brothers who are DGs or on equivalent ranks. Joining the list of such officials are KP Singh of 1966 batch and BP Singh of 1967 batch. While the former is IB Chief, the later is also serving at DG rank in West Bengal. Then DG Orissa, NC Padhi's real brother, is on a DG rank in the IB. His initials are also NC Padhi. And the two real brother DGs who have retired too are real brothers. They are D Sen And NC Saxena.

Himanshu Kumar has taken over as ADG CRPF. He is 1969 batch IPS Officer of U.P. cadre.
