Three IAS officers to return J & K

Three IAS officers who are on deputation to the Government of India are expected to return to their parent Jammu & Kashmir cadre early next year. They are Sushma Chaudhry of 1969 batch and S Maria Desalphine and S S Kapur of 1974 batch. The state government is reported to have sought early repatriation of these officers.

Patna Rajbhavan guest house not for private trips.

The Bihar Governor's Rajbhavan located guest house in Patna is not open for VIPs if they reach there on private trips. There are strict instructions of the Governor, V.C.Pande. in this regards. Those VIPs who reached Patna Rajbhavan recently were politely told "no".

New Police district in Chhattisgarh

Narainpur has been created as a new police district in Chhattisgarh. With this the total number of police districts in the state have gone up to 19.

Proceedings against officials

The state governments have, on the advise of the CVC, sanctioned proceedings against several officials. They include two IAS officials also.

Punjab DGP against IAS interference

Punjab DGP, M S Bhullar, has opposed the Shrivastava Committee report on IAS officers writing ACRs of the IPS officers. He has made it clear to the Chief Minister that the present system of senior IPS officers writing ACRs of the junior IPS officers is fine.

NCERT Chairman to open ABVP conference

Chairman of the NCERT, Dr J S Rajput, will inaugurate the national conference of the Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad at Kozhikode in Kerala on December 26.

AP cadre IAS officer gets posting in Uttaranchal

Gopal Krishna Dwivedi who is on deputation to the Utaranchal Government has been appointed Additional Secretary Finance and Irrigation. He is 1993 batch IAS officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre.

Desiraju to join this week

Keshav Desiraju is joining the Government of India as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Personnel. He is 1978 batch IAS officer of the Uttaranchal cadre.

Transfer of High Court Judges

Justice Pradipta Ray of the Orissa High Court,N Surajmani Singh of the Calcutta High Court and S R Nayak of the Andhra Pradesh High Court have been transferred to Calcutta,Sikkim and Karnataka High Courts respectively.
