Tenure of Sudha Bhave to expire this week Tenure of Sudha Bhave, Joint Secretary - Atomic Energy, Mumbai, is coming to an end on December 7. She is 1975 batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre. Bhai Mahavir to get second term ! Madhya Pradesh Governor, Dr.Bhai Mahavir, if the top sources are to be believed, is getting a second term in the state. His tenure is coming to an end in April. Gaurav Yadav will be SSP Chandigarh Finally Gaurav Yadav has been chosen for the post of SSP Chandigarh.A tug of war had been going on in the Chandigarh administration for the post of SSP. Tie was said to be between two 1992 batch IPS officers of Punjab cadre - Gaurav Yadav and Harpreet Singh Sidhu. The post has fallen vacant following the expiry of Parag Jain's tenure on November 30. Jain is 1989 batch IPS officer of Punjab cadre.Intense lobbying for the post of SSP in Chandigarh was witnessed and as many as one dozen MPs, a couple of former Chief Ministers and, surprisingly enough, some RSS leaders took interest.The Union Home Ministry has finally cleared the name of Yadav.

Laxmi Pranesh also supersedes in TamilNadu The new Chief Secretary of TamilNadu, Laxmi Pranesh, who is 1968 batch IAS officer has also superseded eight officers. They are Mssrs Krishnan Dharmrajan and Ashok Joshi of 1966 batch and V S Laxmiratan, Rathi Vinay Jha, P V Rajaraman , Sukhvaneshvar, Dr Chhatrasal Singh and Om Kumar - all of 1967 batch. Incidentally three officers are currently on deputation to the Government of India. About a dozen officers are going to be affected.Some vacancies will also be filled up. IPS changes in Orissa Debasis Panigrahi, Sanjay Kumar and Arun Bothra will be new SPs of Cuttack,Ganjam and Kendrapara respectively.Jasbinder Singh has been made SP Railways Cuttack.B B Kundu and A K Panigrahi have been appointed SPs of Nayagarh and Angul respectively. Three IPS officers promoted in Orissa Three 1988 batch IPS officers Mssrs Satyajit Mohanty, Manoj Chabra and A K Akhaya have been promoted to the rank of DIG. Now Mohanty ,Chabra and Akhaya will be DIGs of North Orissa,SAP Cuttack and Vigilance respectively. |
