Empanelment of 1969 batch IAS

Two dozen 1969 batch IAS officers in the country are being empanelled to the rank of Additional Secretary in the Government of India in the second half of this month. List is almost ready for the final approval of the Prime Minister. Those who figure in the list are said to be Mssrs Adarsh Kishore, Anil Baijal, P Ghosh, A N Tiwari, A K Jha, S K Purkayastha, Pritush Sinha, Radha Singh, Meenakshi Anand Chaudhry, P K Lahri, Sarita Prasad, Ajay Prasad, Mohammad Shafi Pandit, B K Das, N Ramakrishnan, Shekhar Dutt, Vinay Bansal, Kumud Bansal, P K Hota, Adarsha Kishore, Chitra Chopra, P C Rawal, K V Saptharishi and Kasturi Gupta Menon. Those who have reportedly been selected for the equivalent posts include Mssrs Dev Swaroop, A K Bhatt, Navin Chawla and Suman Swaroop.

Will Dua be Chairman of JNPT ?

Grapevine has it that A K Dua is being appointed Chairman of the Jawahar Lal Nehru Port Trust. He is 1971 batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre.

Laxmi Pranesh, 1968 batch IAS officer, who has become the new Chief Secretary in Tamil Nadu has by virtue of her new posting become the boss of her husband too. Her husband, MB Pranesh, who too belongs to 1968 batch is Principal Secretary (Labour) in the same state.
