This question is doing round in corridors of power. Chief Ministers of Congress ruled states had an informal meeting where point of discussion was that if Congress fares miserably in four state assembly polls then Leader of Opposition in the Parliament, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi should be urged to step down from the post of Congress president. It seems consensus has been arrived at on the name of R K Sharma for the prestigious post of Special Secretary Home lying vacant since January 1 after the superannuation of Mukund Bihari Kaushal. R K Sharma is 1967 batch IPS officer of UT cadre.One theory on the other hand says that Special Secretary Ashok Bhandari would be shifted to Internal Security.

Ashwini Kumar is the new Joint Director (Planning ) in the CBI.He has replaced TamilNadu cadre 1974 batch IPS officer who is back to the state after completion of his tenure.
