G N Bajpai to be SEBI Chief

Finally Prime Minister Atal Bihari Bajpayee has chosen GIC Chairman G N Bajpai for the prestigious post of Chairman SEBI. An official announcment to this effect is likely to be made in a day or two. The post would fall vacant on February 21 following the expiry of D R Mehta' s tenure.

There is a Ministry in the Government of India where Minister,Secretary ,Additional Secretary and Joint Secretary do not see eye to eye. Minister Water Resources Arjun Sethi and Secretary B N Nawalawala are at loggerheads and Secretary Nawalawala does'nt get along well with Additional Secretary Radha Singh.
