New political equations in Rajasthan Congress

After the mammoth rally in memory of former union Minister Rajesh Pilot in Jaipur on February 10, 2002 new political equations in Rajasthan Congress are emerging. On one hand Sachin Pilot, a green horn in political arena, was launched while on the other a rousing welcome accorded to the rally that marked birthday of Rajesh Pilot, is a clear pointer to things that are to follow in coming days. Mrs. Rama Pilot widow of Mr. Rajesh Pilot, Sachin pilot son of the deceased leader, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, former Haryana CM Bhajanlal and former Union Minister of State Ms. Girija Vyas, were among others who attended the rally.

Fair sex in Delhi government gets fair share

With Ms. Shelja Chandra being appointed the Chief secretary in Delhi, only recently, it is said that it is the Delhi government alone which is sensitive in giving the fair sex its fair share. There are at least half a dozen women sitting on powerful positions in the Delhi government.They are : Secretary Transport Sindhushri Khullar,Secretary to the Chief Minister Renu Sharma, Secretary Education Geeta Sagar, Secretary Culture Neeta Bali,Chairperson DCSC Chandralekha Sood and Mrs Rakesh Mehta.

Security at airports continues to be in peril ?

Is security at different International and domestic airports still at peril? Answer to this question is in affirmative. You may ask how. For the simple reason that there is no security check or sterilization of private aircrafts that land on different airports of India. In the wake of Kandhar episode, memory of which is still fresh in our minds even after two years, a valuable suggestion to Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) was made by an NRI who originally hails from Madhya Pradesh. Sam Verma is the NRI industrial tycoon who had shot a letter to DGCA two years ago about the above suggestion. However, there has been no action so far. What to talk of action, the authorities at DGCA have not even bothered to acknowledge receipt of his letter that was mailed two years back.

B B Mishra has taken over as DIG CBI in Jharkhand. He has replaced Rakesh Asthana who has gone back to parent Gujarat cadre after completion of his tenure.

IPS changes in Andhra Pradesh

Rajiv Kumar Meena will be new SP Mehabubanagar. He has replaced N Balasubramanyam who has been made SP Railways Guntakal. V V Shrinivas has been appointed SP Khammam in place of K Raja Ratnam Naidu.He is yet to get new posting.

No more foreign jaunts in West Bengal

West Bengal Government has curbed foreign trips of the bureaucrats. Chief Secretary Sourin Roy has asked the bureaucrats not to visit any of the foreign countries without clearance from either the state or the centre.
