Uncertainty over K.R.Narayanan's second term

There is a lot of uncertainty as far as a repeat term for President K.R. Narayanan is concerned. Narayanan whose five year term would come to an end is being backed by all political parties for the second term. But, BJP---main constituent of the NDA Government is reported to in favour of having some other candidate as the President of India.

Kalha to retire

Secretary (West) in the ministry of External Affairs R S Kalha is retiring in March. His successor is yet to be made.

Did Secretary to CM abuse ADG ?

A letter written by an Additional Director General of Police in Assam has generated heat in the bureaucratic circles. ADG Special Branch Sharda Prasad has written a letter to DGP H K Deka complaining against M G V K Bhanu Secretary to the Assam Chief Minister.Sharda Prasad who has now been transferred as ADG (Border) in his letter said that Bhanu abused him for not providing him bullet proof car.

IAS changes in Madhya Pradesh

D R S Chaudhry will now be Secretary Finance . Commissioner Health P D Meena has been given additional charge of AIDS control.Surya Pratap Singh Parihar who was Director AIDS has been appointed Additional Secretary Finance.

Transfers in UNI

Joseph John Bureau Chief UNI Panji has been transferred to Raipur. Chief of Bureau UNI Raipur Sridharan Pillai has been shifted to Jaipur. Arun Dixit who is currently posted in Hyderabad Bureau would replace Joseph John in Panji.

Quick disposal of files by MP CM

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, during last few weeks was hardly able to stay in Bhopal owing to polls to four state assemblies and by poll of Guna where from Jyotiraditya Scindia---scion of the Gwalior's royal family is the main contender. But, there is hardly any file pending in the Secretariat of Chief Minister Digvijay Singh. For this credit goes to his Principal Secretaries.

Haryana sends five names for deputation

Haryana Government has forwarded names of five IAS officers for Central deputation. They are Ms N S Anand 1973 batch, Naseem Ahmad 1972 batch, Anita Chaudhry 1976 batch, P K Chaudhry 1977 batch and S P Gupta 1990 batch.

N K Sarwade has taken over as DIG CBI in Jaipur. He is 1987 batch IPS officer of West Bengal cadre.

DIG Shahabad Shridhar Sharma has been shifted to Vigilance. K K Bhatt will be new DIG Shahabad.Ram Pravesh Singh on promotion has been appointed DIG EOW.Ganesh Yadav on promotion has been posted as DIG Munger.Umesh Kumar Singh has also been promoted to the rank of DIG .He would be DIG Sehersa.

IAS transfers in Maharastra

A K D Jadhav has been appointed new Principal Secretary Finance. 1970 batch IAS officer Jadhav would replace Anupam Dasgupta who has gone on deputation to the GOI. Jayant Kavde 1981 batch IAS officer has been posted to ICON in place of Jadhav. Commissioner Amrawati Division 1982 batch IAS officer Sumit Malik has been made MD of the MIDC. 1973 batch IAS officer J P Dange has been shifted to Mining Corporation as MD.

Nanda is back to Secretariat in Bihar

U K Nanda has been appointed Secretary Science and Technology in Bihar. 1978 batch IAS officer was posted in Planning Board.
