Prime Minister clears 1968 batch IAS empanelment

Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has cleared empanelment of 29 IAS officers of 1968 batch to the rank of Secretary in the Government of India. If reliable sources are to be believed ,this is the list of empanelled officers : J Vasudevan, N S Sisodia, Dhirendra Singh, Sushil Tripathy, Brijesh Kumar, Wajahat Habibullah,S N P N Sinha, Kamal Kant Jaiswal, S K Tuteja, Mohan Kanda, Atul Sinha, Naresh Narad, S K Mishra,R C A Jain, V K Agnihotri,K S Sarma,Vinita Rai, M K Bezbaruah,V K Duggal, Charan Das Arha, Sunil Sood, C K Koshy,L M Mehta,Sanjeeb Chandra Hota,Ravi Bhushan Buddhiraja, S S Meenakshi Sundaram ,Santosh Nautiyal, Dhanendra Kumar and Arvind Kaul.

Labanyendu Mansingh to be Additional Secretary

Labanyendu Mansingh is being appointed Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Power.197O batch Gujrat cadre IAS officer L Mansingh will replace J Vasudevan who has taken over as CMD of the ITPO.

Vishwanath Anand gets post retirement job

Secretary Small Scale Industries in the Government of India Vishwanath Anand has been appointed Vice-Chairman,National Environment Appellate Authority for a period of three years.Anand a 1965 batch IAS officer from Uttar Pradesh cadre would be superannuating by this month end.

K P P Rao is JD CBI East

K P Prabhakar Rao is the new Joint Director CBI (East) with headquarters at Kolkata.Prior to this 1979 batch IPS officer of West Bengal cadre was DIG CBI in Hyderabad.Now he has gone to Kolkata on promotion.

IAS reshuffle in Jharkhand

Debashish Gupta will be new Finance Secretary. Laxmi Singh who was Secretary Finance has been shifted to the Board of Revenue. Amrendra Pratap Singh has been appointed Director Industries.Nitin Madan Kulkarni has been sent to the Electricity Board. Director Industries Arun Kumar Singh would be Deputy Commissioner Hazaribag. Nidhi Khare is new DC Jamshedpur,Baijnath Prasad and Vedehi Sharan Mishra would be Deputy Commissioners of Lohardga and Jamtada respectively. Shailesh Kumar Singh has been made DC Deodhar.Avinash Kumar is the new DC of Dumka.

IDBI Chairman sees a different Finance Minister

IDBI Chairman P P Vora known to have been obliged several times in the past saw a different Finance Minister this time. The former was camping in Delhi last week to seek Rs 3000 crore for his organisation but the unrelenting Finance Minister Yeshwant Sinha did not oblige.

IAS changes in Rajasthan

About two dozen IAS officers in Rajasthan have been reshuffled. Dr Lalit K Panwar will now be Secretary GAD. Arvind Mayaram has been appointed Secretary Tourism. Secretary Urban Development G S Sandhu has been made Commissioner Jaipur Development Authority.Umrao Salodia has been posted as Divisional Commissioner Jaipur.Dharam Singh would be CMD Laghu Udhyog Nigam.Vinod Jutshi and Mrs Kushal Singh would be Secretaries of Education and Forests respectively.Ram Lubhaya and B P Arya have been appointed Secretaries of PWD and Social Welfare respectively.S N Thanvi has been sent to Ajmer in Sales Tax Authority . Shyam S Agrawal would be ED in State Electricity Authority.
