Four IAS officers get Secretary rank and scale Four senior IAS officers in the Government of India have been promoted to the rank and scale of regular Secretary. Earlier the IAS officers were working on the post equivalent to the Secretary. They are : Pratibha Karan MD ,TRIFED (AGMU 1967 ),P K Mohanty Planning Commission (Orissa 1967 ),A K Goswami DG, NPC (HP 1966) AND Malti S Sinha ST-SC Commission (Bihar 1966). Aswal to join GOI Narendra Kumar Aswal is going on deputation to the Government of India. 1983 batch Chhatisgarh cadre IAS officer Aswal is to join as Regional Manager FCI at Jaipur. Ajay Chadha to join RAW Ajay Chadha ,Joint Commissioner of Police ,Northern Range in Delhi is all set to join the RAW soon. He is 1977 batch IPS officer of UT cadre. Bhatnagar is Director Publications Division P S Bhatnagar has been appointed Director Publications Division in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Lalita Zakaria has been promoted and posted as Director in Research ,Reference and Training Division in place of Bhatnagar. Sharma posted in BSF headquarters B D Sharma DIG ,BSF Jaiselmer has been promoted to the rank of IG. On promotion he has been transferred to the BSF headquarters,Delhi. Gopalkrishnan best bureaucrat The Business Today has selected R Gopalkrishnan,Secretary to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh amongst five best bureaucrats in the country.The Magazine described this 1979 batch IAS officer in these words " The credit for Madhya Pradesh's development success goes not just to Chief Minister Digvijay Singh but equally to R Gopalkrishnan,the sounding board and driving force of many of Singh's ideas. He has conceptualised the entire employment guarantee scheme(EGS),THE Padna -Badhna Andolan (Each one Teach one), and the Watershed development programmes. His interest in watershed schemes goes back to the mid-1980s when ,as Collector Jhabua district,he initiated water harvesting programmes. Chanda promoted Chief General Manager of BSNL Gujrat Circle P K Chanda has been promoted as Advisor Indian Telecom Services . He would ,however,continue in Gujrat Circle.
Having succeeded in bringing the BJP MLA's to his party fold in his own state,the Chhatisharh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi is now expected by his party to show some charishma in Uttranchal too. This dependency on Jogi has compelled the party keadership to select him as one of the star campaigners in the forthcoming polls in Uttranchal.
Himachal Pradesh Government has refused to grant permission to the State Vigilance to prosecute 1988 batch IAS officer Sanjay Gupta. State Vigilance had approached the state Government in this matter. Bhide couple to join Centre P V Bhide and Dr Mrs Sheela Bhide 1973 batch IAS officers of Andhra Pradesh cadre are likely to join the Government of India soon. |
