Going by the number of departments one is allowed to handle,there are only two Secretaries in the Government of India these days who are given due importance. One is of course ,Kamal Pande who has been given the responsibility of Home ,J & K Affairs and Justice and the other having more than one department under him is Arun Bhatnagar who is looking after Rural Development,Land Records and Drinking Water.

Dilip Kumar an AGMU cadre IPS officer has joined as DIG CBI in Hyderabad. He has replaced K P P Rao who has gone on promotion to Kolkata as Joint Director East.

Surplus Chief Engineers in Western Railway !

It seems there is an excess of Chief Engineers in Western Railway HQ at Mumbai in the IRS of Signal Engineers.As a result they are working in turns, some of them have to go on leave for two months to adjust others.It is also notable that some time back many of them were posted in NF Railway which is considered to be a punishment posting but shortly thereafter many of had managed to come back to better postings.Is the surplus of officers because of the fact that Mumbai is the HQ ?.

Two UP SP,s transferred

Superintendents of Police Balia and Gazipur districts in Uttar Pradesh have been transferred. Election Commission has permitted the state Government to transfer the two IPS officers. Now Rajiv Ranjan Verma and A K Upadhyay will be new Superintendents of Police of Gazipur and Balia districts respectively.
