: Rangachari to go to Berlin ! Shrinivas Rangachari is being tipped to go to Berlin as India's new ambassador in place of Ronen Sen. Rangachari is currently Additional Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs. Now BJP's plan of defection in Chhatisgarh ! After having lied down for a while the BJP is now trying with the idea of toppling Chief Minister Ajit Jogi in the same coin,i.e enginnering a defection in the Congress Legislature Party.BJP has conveyed to its one dozen defector MLA's to defect with 10 more MLA's of Congress.Then they will be beyond the scope of anti-defection law as 22 is one third of CLP's present strength of 65.Raipur Mayor Tarun Chatterjee could be Chief Minister while other 21 MLA's could be ministers with BJP's external support.In this plan some Congress leaders opposed to Jogi are also behind the curtain. Tarun Sridhar to be Director Petroleum Tarun Sridhar is being appointed Director in the Ministry of Petroleum. He is 1984 batch IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre. Sridhar would replace P M Meena of the IFS. Labanyendu Mansingh not permitted to join GOI Gujarat Government atleast for some time has not permitted senior IAS officer Labanyendu Mansingh to join the Government of India. 1970 batch officer L Mansingh was all set to join the Power Ministry as Additional Secretary. IAS changes in Rajasthan soon IAS reshuffle is expected to take place in Rajasthan in a week or two.Collectors and Commissioners are to be changed during the reshuffle. Collectors of Pali, Nagaur,Jhunjhunu,Hanuman Garh,Bikaner and Ganganagar are sure to be changed. Jyotiraditya Scindia and an IAS officer Starting his political career Jyotiraditya Scindia has asked for a change of an IAS officer from his territory.Scindia has asked Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh to shift immediately Prabhanshu Kanwal from Gwalior. 1985 batch IAS officer Kanwal is currently Commissioner Land Records with headquarters at Gwalior. Air Marshal Madan takes over Air Marshal Manik Madan has taken over as the Air Officer Commanding-in Chief of Eastern Air Command in Shillong. Mathur new SP Ghazipur S.K.Mathur will be new SP of the Ghazipur district in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, Rajiv Ranjan Verma had been named for the post. Tuteja is new Commissioner of Police Vadodra D.D.Tuteja has been appointed new Commissioner of Police , Vadodra . 1974 batch IPS officer, Tuteja was earlier CVO of Gujarat Electricity Board. IG Rank officers are Registrar in KK Universities K.C.Ramamurthy and K.S.N. Chikkerur have been promoted to the rank of IG and posted as Registrars of Bangalore and Mysore universities respectively.Y.R.Patil, another IG rank officer will take over as Registrar of Mangalore University, Mangalore. IPS changes in Kartanataka B.G. Jyotiprakash Mirji has been elevated to the rank of IG and posted as Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime). T.Jayaprakash on promotion as IG has been made in charge of Security.C. Moti Ram has as well promoted as IG and posted in Grievances and Human Rights Cell. Pravin Sood is accorded proforma promotion to officiate as DIG Training, Bangalore. Ravi Pratap Sharma and T.G. Doreswamy Naik have been promoted to the rank of DIG. While, Sharma will be DIG Home Guards, Naik DIG Administration. Why did Nripendra Mishra loose ? Newly appointed Secretary Fertilisers Nripendra Mishra was ahead in the race for the post of Secretary Commerce till 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday. In the meantime an important functionary in the PMO pointed out that it would be a bad precedent to appoint such a junior officer in this prestigious Ministry. And soon, name Dipak Chaterjee was floated. His name was agreed upon by all. |
