S K Bhagat DIG CBI is back to parent Uttar Pradesh cadre.1981 batch IPS officer Bhagat has been repatriated to the parent cadre after completion of his tenure.

SAS decks clear in Madhya Pradesh

At long last ,decks have been cleared for promotion of SAS officers of Madhya Pradesh cadre into the IAS.There has beeen a delay of atleast 3 years because of two key factors.First,cadre allocation in MP and Chhatisgarh was delayed (which has been finalised now).Second,there was no meeting of DPC coupled with this change in rule in 1998.As per the new rule select list of 27 SAS officers from 1981 and 1982 batch would be awarded IAS.Presently list of allocated cadres has been sent to GOI for notification.

Kerala Governments' request to Centre

Kerala Government has requested the Centre not to allot any new officers of All India Service to the state during the next two years. Acute financial crisis has led to this kind of request.The State Government has also decided not to give promotion to IAS and IPS officers to reduce expenditure.

Abhimanyu Singh has been appointed Vice Chancellor of the Magadh University. He is 1964 batch retired IAS officer of Bihar cadre.

Punjab Home Secretary Charge sheeted

After getting clearance of the Centre, the CBI has charge sheeted Punjab Home Secretary Bikram Jeet Singh under the Prevention of Corruption Act. He is 1969 batch IAS officer.

Dismissal of IPS officer sought

The Rajasthan Government has recommended dismissal of 1977 batch IPS officer Madhukar Tandan fromservice. Tandan is underground for the last four years. Now decision is to be taken by the Government of India.
