Who will replace P S Bhatnagar Chief Secretary of Delhi Government ?.1966 batch IAS officer Shailja Chandra is ahead in the race followed by R D Kapoor and Jagdish Sagar. K S Baidwan and Ashok Pradhan are now out of the race. Official announcement of the new incumbent is to be made in a couple of days. P S Bhatnagar is superannuating this month end.

1982 batch empanelment in a couple of days

Much delayed and much awaited empanelment of 1982 batch IAS officers to the rank of Joint Secretary in the Government of India is going to take place in a couple of days. Final list after the ACC clearance has reached the Prime Minister's office from the office of the Cabinet Secretary.

Prabhat Kumar resigns

Jharkhand Governor Prabhat Kumar has resigned. Former Cabinet Secretary Kumar had to resign from the gubernatorial post following disclosure about his links with Flex Group of Companies Chairman Ashok Chaturvedi.

Pani not to get extension

Deputy Election Commissioner Subhash Pani is not getting another extension in his tenure. Pani has been in the Election Commission since November 1995. Extended tenure of 1972 batch Orissa cadre IAS officer Pani is due to end on February 5.

Promila Issar not to join GOI

Promila Issar is not joining as Joint Secretary Revenue in the Government of India. 1972 batch IAS officer of Haryana cadre Promila Issar has expressed her inability to join the GOI on health grounds. She had been appointed in place of Maharastra cadre 1971 batch IAS officer Charusheela Sohoni.
