been sent on deputation to Government of India under the pressure from Enron. Godbole committee

Rajneesh Rai, SP CBI has sought his repatriation to the parent Gujarat cadre on personal grouns. !992 batch IPS officer Rajneesh Rai who was SP CBI in Gujarat had been transferred to CBI headquaters to look after insignificant desk relating to missing persons squad.

R L S Yadav DGP of Chhatisgarh is being appointed Adviser to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi. 1966 batch IPS officer Yadav is superannuating on January 31.

Ashok Jaitley gets extension

Chief secretary Jammu & Kashmir, Ashok Jaitley ultimately got an extension of one year. Initially his proposal for extension was turned down by the Centre. However, J & K Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah personally met Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to plead Jaitley's case strongly. Ever since Government of India hiked the age of superannuation from 58 years to 60 years , Jaitley is the second bureaucrat in India to get such an extension. First , IAS to benefit from this was T.R. Prasad the then Cabinet Secretary. Ashok Jaitley belongs to 1964 batch of J & K.

Mrs. C. Narayan Swami has been appointed chairperson of State Administrative Tribunal(SAT) in Orissa.
She had joined Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) as member in 1994.
