Nair to join in Rome this month

Govindan Nair is joining Indian Embassy in Rome this month as the alternate representative of India to FAO.The 1978 batch IAS Officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre was Joint Secretary in the Agriculture Ministry prior to this new appointment.He will be replacing Neela Gangadharan.

Who will be Governor ?

Names of over half a dozen retired IAS and IPS Officers are currently doing the round for posts of Governor .Five new Governors are soon to be appointed in the country. Names of Ms Shyamal Dutta, Naresh Chandra, Kalyan Rudra, R P Joshi,A S Dulat, Mukund Bihari Kaushal and Subhash Tripathi are being discussed in the corridors of power.

Finally Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has agreed to close down two divisions viz.Publications Division and the Research ,Reference and Training Division.An official announcement in this matter is likely to be made this month.

The young scion of the erstwhile princely ruled state of Gwalior Jyotiraditya Scindia gave a ride to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh .The former was on the driving seat while the latter had gone to Gwalior for opening up of the famous trade fair which has now been named after late Madhav Rao Scindia.
