In a major bureaucratic reshuffle Revenue Secretary S Narayan has been appointed as Finance Secretary and Economic Affairs Secretary.Ajay Vikram Singh will replace Mr Narayan as Revenue Secretary. Expenditure Secretary C S Rao will continue to hold the same post. D C Gupta will be the new Banking and Insurance Secretary. Hitherto, Ajay Vikram Singh who replaces Narayan, as Revenue Secretary was Special Secretary in Defence Ministry.C M Vasudev who is currently looking after Economic Affairs has been appointed as India's Executive Director in World Bank. He is relinquishing the post by this month-end.
