Secretary Parliamentary Affairs in the Government of India, M U Rehman, is superannuating by this month end. He is 1966 batch IAS officer of Jammu & Kashmir cadre.

13 IPS officers to retire

Altogether 13 IPS officers in the country are superannuating this month end. They are ;Messrs Sheo Murty Roy, Baljit Singh, Rajendra Prasad, S P S Rathore, Rakesh P Singh, A N Singh, G S Mathur, Mohammad Saidullah Khan, Kulmani Deo, C Balasubramaniam, Chaman Lal, Ram Chandra Sharma and Jyotirmoy Ghosh.

Will post of Director NIPM go to non-IAS ?

There is a move to post a non-IAS as Director, National Institute of Port Management, Chennai. The post has fallen vacant following the return of R J Mohan Pillai, 1973 batch IAS officer to the parent Bihar cadre.

Kerala cadre IAS officer K B Abdul Hameed has been sentenced two years jail term for corruption. The CBI had filed a case of corruption against the IAS officer.
