Krishna Kumar Jalan is all set to join the Ministry of Textiles as Joint Secretary. He is 1982 batch IAS officer of Haryana cadre. He would succeed T Nandkumar who is taking up foreign assignment in Dhaka very soon.

Secretary Parliamentray Affairs may be a non-IAS

It is unlikely that any IAS would now be posted as Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs. The post is going to fall vacant by this month end with the retirement of MU Rehman. According sources claim that an officer from the same office would now be made the Secretary.
