Malkani to be Governor Pondycheri

Veteran BJP leader K R Malkani is being appointed Governor of Pondicheri.His name is said to have been cleared by the Prime Miniater Atal Behari Vajpayee and Deputy Prime Minister L K Adwani.


S.Satyam to head panel on NGOs

S.Satyam, would head an Advisory Committee on issues relating to Non Governmental organizations (NGOs). Tenure of the committee constituted by Union Ministry of Social Justice Empowerment Committee will be six months from the date of its notification. Satyam is Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer of the 1961 batch. The committee under Satyam's chairmanship among others would suggest more efficacious processes for inspection and monitoring of NGOs to review and improve procedures, formats for the monitoring mechanism and inspection system for the NGOs.

L.N.Sahi made CGMT MP Circle

L.N.Sahi has been made full-fledged Chief General Manager Telecommunication (CGMT) MP Circle. So far Sahi was officiating CGMT.He had succeeded P.P.Khare who had retired in February this year.L.N.Sahi would retire in February 2004.

P. S. Negi gets a new job in Himachal Pradesh

P.S.Negi who retired as the Financial Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Himachal Pradesh government was appointed Member Secretary of the Scheduled Areas and Scheduled Tribes Commission. Negi's appointment has been done in the rank and scale of the Secretary to Government of India.
