Grapevine has that Minakshi Sunderam is being posted in Government of India as Secretary soon. 1968 batch Karnataka cadre IAS officer Minakshi Sunderam is currently posted in Space Commission, Bangalore. He used to be all powerful during the Prime Ministership of H D Devegowda.

Amarnathan to be DG Civil Aviation !

There are strong reports that DG BPR&D L C Amarnathan is being appointed Director General of the Bureau of Civil Aviation in place of Veerana Aivalli who is unwell. Amarnathan is 1967 batch IPS officer of Orissa cadre.

Jugran is new DGP Madhya Pradesh

Dinesh Chandra Jugran has been appointed new Director General of Police Madhya Pradesh. 1966 batch IPS officer Jugran would replace A N Singh who is superannuating on July 31.Currently Jugran is DG Home Guards.

Government of India has set up a ten Member Committee headed by S Sathyam exclusively for growth and development of Technical Textiles. Sathyam is 1961 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre. The Committee would prepare a five year action-plan for the Government.

Shrivastava to be PS to Karnataka Chief Minister

In all probability K N Shrivastava will be new Principal Secretary to Karnataka Chief Minister S M Krishna. 1978 batch IAS officer Shrivastava who is currently Joint Secretary Culture in Government of India is returning to the parent Karnataka cadre following summons by the Chief Minister.

Jalan to be JS Textiles next month

K K Jalan Director in the Ministry of Textiles will be the Joint Secretary in the same Ministry next month. Formal orders of 1982 batch Haryana cadre IAS officer, Jalan, are to be issued in a couple of weeks. The post has fallen vacant following the appointment of 1972 batch Bihar cadre IAS officer Nand Kumar on a foreign assignment in Dhaka to head the International Jute Organisation.
