S Narayan to be Secretary Economic Affairs

Secretary Revenue, S Narayan, is now sure to succeed Secretary Economic Affairs, C M Vasudev. .Formal orders to this effect are expected to be issued in a week or so. Vasudev is joining the World Bank as Executive Director.

New post created in GoI

A new post of Director General, Chemical Warfare, has been created in the Government of India. Gujarat cadre 1970 batch IAS officer Anuradha Mansingh is being appointed on the post.

Kewal Ram Bhati , Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Surface Transport, has been granted three months extension in his tenure. He is 1968 batch IAS officer of Uttranchal cadre.

Jay Singh Gill is being given insitu promotion in CAPART. Punjab cadre 1968 batch IAS officer Gill will get Secretary rank in Government of India. He is currently heading CAPART which comes under the Ministry of Rural Development.
