Six 1968 batch IPS officers get DG rank

Six 1968 batch IPS officers have been promoted to the rank of DG in Government of India.Five officers of this batch serving in the Intelligence Bureau Ms A K Doval, K M Singh, E S L Narsimhan, N C Padhi and Sudhir Kumar have been made Special Directors. SPG Chief T K Mitra is the other officer to get promotion.

Half a dozen Additional Secretaries to be appointed

Meenakshi Dutta Ghosh has joined the Ministry of Health as Project Director National AIDS Control Programme.1970 batch IAS officer of UT cadren Mrs Ghosh has joined the Ministry as Joint Secretary.She is however, being promoted to the rank of Additional Secretary in a day or two.

S K Das to be promoted in ISRO

S K Das in all probability will be promoted to the rank of Additional Secretary in ISRO with headquarters at Bangalore. 1970 batch IAS officer of Karnataka cadre, Das is currently Joint Secretary in ISRO. This post will be upgraded soon after the promotion of S S Meenakshi Sunderam to the rank of Secretary.

CBI has sought permission to prosecute 1971 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre Neera Yadav. The CBI has indicted her for irregularities allegedly committed during her tenure at NOIDA.
