Two more 1967 batch IPS officers have been empanelled to the rank of Director General in the Government of India. They are P K Senapati of Orissa cadre and B R Lal of Haryana cadre.

A K Kutty is being tipped to be the Joint Secretary Power in the Government of India. 1978 batch IAS officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre Kutty would replace Himachal Pradesh cadre 1972 batch IAS officer P I Suvarathan.
