Jagat to be Adviser to J & K Chief Minister

Grapevine has it that the DG of the Border Security Force, Gurubachan Jagat, is being appointed Adviser to the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister. Jagat is scheduled to superannuate this month end.

Poornalingam to be Additional Secretary Commerce ?

There are reports that the Additional Secretary Power in the Government of India, R Poornalingam, is being shifted to Commerce Ministry. He is 1970 batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre.

Dr Bhagwati to join World Bank

Dr Jaimini Bhagwati, the outgoing Joint Secretary, Economic Affairs, is going on deputation to the World Bank. Name of 1976 batch Indian Foreign Service Officer, Dr Bhagwati, has been cleared by the ACC. He is going to head the Market Risk Group in the Corporate Finance Department of the World Bank.
