Tapan Ray to be DG NIFT !

If all goes well 1982 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre Tapan Ray will head the prestigious National Institute of Fashion Technology. Currently he is PS to Union Textile Minister Kashi Ram Rana. Ray has recently been empanelled to the rank of Joint Secretary in the Government of India.

Girdhari Nayak to return

Girdhari Nayak who is currently on deputation to the National Police Academy Hyderabad is returning to the parent Chhatisgarh cadre this month. He is 1983 batch IPS officer.

Kapur to head Vijaya Bank

M S Kapur is being appointed Chairman cum Managing Director of the Vijaya Bank. Currently he is Executive Director of the Syndicate Bank. Name of Kapur is believed to have been cleared at all levels.

Rashmi Verma promoted

Rashmi Verma has been promoted to the rank of Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office. 1982 batch Bihar cadre IAS officer Rashmi Verma who was Director in the PMO had been recently empanelled to the rank of JS.

Mukul Joshi to return to Punjab

The new Punjab Government has decided to recall Mukul Joshi from the Central deputation. 1975 batch IAS officer Joshi is currently Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Water Resources . On his return Joshi will be posted in the rank of Principal Secretary.

Chahal is Advisor to Punjab CM

Bharat Inder Singh Chahal has been appointed Advisor to the Punjab Chief Minister Amrinder Singh. He was Additional Director PR department before quitting the Government job.

Ravindra to be next Karnataka Chief Secretary
