IAS officer resigns

An IAS officer of the Chhatisgarh cadre Harsh Mandar has resigned from service. 1981 batch officer Harsh Mander is currently on deputation to Actionaid-- as Country Director for India. The young IAS officer has resigned on two counts.One, inaction of the IAS and IPS in the Gujarat riots and second inequitable distribution of foodgrains despite huge buffer stock of foodgrains in the country.

Uttranchal asks for more IAS and IPS officers

Uttranchal Chief Minister N D Tiwari has urged the Government of India to send more IAS and IPS officers for his state. He has drawn the attention of the GOI towards shortage of IAS and IPS officers.The Chief Minister has also said that he would like to take officers even on deputation
