Congress revamp in April

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has made up her mind to revamp the party.There are indications that an overhaul would be done in the AICC set up. A couple of PCC Chiefs would be changed and at least two Chief Ministers would go.

Pirzada and Sandhu to stay

The Punjab Government has allowed to stay on deputation to UP cadre 1978 batch IAS officer Surjit Kaur Sandhu and G S Pirzada of Tamil Nadu cadre 1982 batch IAS officer. Three IAS officers have been repatriated by the state Government.

IPS promotions in Maharastra

Three 1980 batch IPS officers Ms Satya Pal Singh, Javed Ahmad and K P Raghuvanshi have been promoted to the rank of Special IG in Maharastra. Other officers of this batch Ms R T Rathod,Vijay Kamble, B N Raut and R S Bacchewar were denied promotion.
