Chief Ministers of all Congress ruled states will meet their "Principal" - Mrs.Sonia Gandhi ,in Guwahati for two days in April . It is expected that Sonia Gandhi will show her real colours to convey that she is the supremo . She has asked a couple of senior leaders Ms Arjun Singh, Manmohan Singh and Pranab Mukherjee to talk to Chief Ministers and submit their report .

Grapevine has it that Joint Secretary Home in the Government of India O P Arya is returning to the parent cadre to join as Principal Secretary to the Uttranchal Chief Minister. Arya who is 1975 batch IAS officer is currently on one year extension .

Gujarat DGP lodges protest

Gujarat Director General of Police K Chakravorthi has reportedly lodged a strong protest over large-scale IPS transfers. He rang up Home Department officials to tell that transfer of outstanding officials would only demoralise the police force. He specifically mentioned names of about a dozen thorough professional officers including Ms Himanshu Bhatt, P B Gondia,Rahul Sharma, Vivek Shrivastava and M D Antani in this context.

Punjab Public Service Commission Chairman Ravinder Pal Singh Sidhu who has been arrested on charge of accepting bribe is a Journalist by profession. Before being appointed Chairman by the then Punjab Chief Minister H S Brar,Sidhu was Bureau Chief of a National English Daily.

Search committee to meet again

Search Committee set up by the Government of India to suggest names for the post of Secretary Power will meet again on March 30. Meeting of the Search Committee which was held in Delhi on March 25 remained inconclusive.
