Will Jauhari be JS Customs ?

Will 1972 batch Andhra Pradesh cadre IAS officer Virendra Prakash Jauhari be Joint Secretary Revenue (Customs) in the Government of India ? Though , he is number one in the panel ,Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha has another choice. One can only wait and watch for the new incumbent for the post that has been lying vacant since November last.Haryana cadre IAS officer Pramila Issar was earlier selected for the post who later on declined to join the Government of India on personal grounds.

One dozen IAS officers for ITDC Chief's post

One dozen IAS officers figure in the list which is currently lying with the Tourism Ministry for the post of Chairman ITDC.The list consists of Ms K Mohan Das (Kerala 1974),Lov Verma (UP1978),Bhagirath Prasad (MP 1975),Lalit Pawar (Rajasthan 1979), Swadeep Singh (MP 1979),Krishna (UP 1980),Loveleen Kackar (MP 1979),P D Meena (MP 1980) ,Prakash Chandra (UT 1975) and one from TamilNadu and two from West Bengal cadre officers. Name of present CMD of the Railway Service Ashwin Lohani also figures in the panel. Who will be lucky to get this glamorous post ?.

1973 batch IPS promoted in Maharastra

Half a dozen IPS officers in Maharastra have been promoted to the rank of ADG in Maharastra. They are : D N Jadhav, Jayant Umranikar, B S Mohite,V N Deshmukh,T C Wankhede and Sudhakar Ambedkar.One officer of this batch U D Joshi was however,denied promotion.

Mohanty to join Uttranchal Government

Pradip Kumar Mohanty of Uttar Pradesh cadre 1985 batch IAS officer is all set to join the Uttaranchal Government. Grapevine has it that he will be next Excise Commissioner in Uttranchal.

Nine IAS officers resign in Madhya Pradesh

A record number of nine IAS officers have quit the service during the past eight years in Madhya Pradesh.The last to resign is 1980 batch IAS officer Harsh Mandar. It all began with the resignation of 1972 batch officer Shyam Vajpayee followed by Sunil Tandan 1983 batch, J P Rai 1983 batch,Najeeb Jung 1973 batch, B R Mishra 1984 batch,S V Aiyar 1981 batch, Ajay Singh Yadav 1976 batch and M P Rajan 1975 batch.

IPS Association meeting in Gujarat

General body meetingof the Gujarat IPS officers association is being held to protest against the posting of promotee officers in cadre posts. Incidentaly ,General Body meeting is being held after a gap of three years. Several officers had asked for convening meeting.

Ex-cadre posts to be abolished in Kerala

Kerala Government has decided to abolish 44 senior level ex-cadre posts .This includes two posts of Chief Secretary one dozen posts of Principal Secretaries, 2 posts of DG,s ,4 posts of ADG,s and one post of PCF.It means in future no appointment would be made to these posts when vacancies arise due to retirement.

Four new MP High Court Judges

Four new Judges have been appointed in Madhya Pradesh High Court. They are Ms Subhash Samwatser, Ajit Singh,Rajendra Menon and Sughandhi Lal Jain.

Bagchi to retire in DVB ?

Chances of Debashish Bagchi going back to the parent organisation CBI seem to be bleak.Now indications are that CBI cadre officer Bagchi who is on deputation to the Delhi Vidyut Board would retire on March 31 without getting promotion to the rank of Joint Director in the parent organisation. Only CBI bosses and Bagchi knows the reason. Meanwhile ,another DIG rank CBI cadre officer A K Majumdar is all set to get promotion soon after the superannuation of Bagchi.

Rana appointed Chairman Railway Board
