IAS and IPS at loggerheads in MP

That the IAS and the IPS, particularly in Madhya Pradesh, are at loggerheads became once again evident at a recent meeting of IPS Association in Bhopal. Even the comparatively new IPS recruits expressed their resentment against the IAS. There main grouse was that they were not treated at par with the IAS despite the fact that both are recruited through the same entrance examination. The other factors which make the IPS feel little is that it is they who brave all odds in maintaining the law and order but the credit goes to the IAS. And the last but not least was the fact that the IPS were found uncomfortable over the writing of their ACRs by none other than the IAS.
