16 IPS officers of 1968 batch empanelled

Sixteen IPS officers of 1968 batch have been empanelled to the rank of Director General in the Government of India. According to informed sources Ms A P Bhatnagar (Punjab),R S Gupta (UT),R C Agrawal (UP) T K Mitra (West Bengal),Narsimhan (AP),N C Padhi (Madhya Pradesh),K M Singh (Maharastra),A K Doval (Tamil Nadu),I J Jachak (Orissa), Ashok Darbari (Chhattisgarh), M D Singh (Karnataka),Sudhir Kumar (Maharastra) H K Deka (Assam) ,Kumar Swamy(Tamil Nadu) ,R K H Tarakar (Kerala),and Shyamal Dutta figure in the list of empanelment.

Empanelment of 1983 batch IAS officers

Empanelment of 1983 batch IAS officers to the rank of Joint Secretary in all probability will take place before October next. Two Secretaries in the Government of India have already cleared the names of the officers of this batch.


Akhil Kumar Jain to be JS Home

Akhil Kumar Jain is being appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs. He is 1973 batch IAS officer of West Bengal cadre.

J N Gupta is new AG Himachal Pradesh

J N Gupta will be new Accountant General Himachal Pradesh. He is 1976 batch IAAS officer.


Sinha to join RAW

A K Sinha is joining the RAW as Director.He is 1984 batch IPS officer of Kerala cadre.

Rajiv Sharma to be JS Coal

Rajiv Sharma is being tipped to be Joint Secretary Coal in Government of India. He is 1976 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre.

P D Vaghela will hold additional charge of Village Development Commissioner.Relief Director (Scarcity) B R Patel has been posted to Gram Vikas Agency.He will be replaced by S K Pandya. A V Muniya has been appointed Additional Collector (Narmada).

Vice Admiral Madan Jit Singh has been appointed Commmander-in-Chief of the Southern Naval Command.
