Will CBI Chief retire next month?

Will. P.C.Sharma Director, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) retire next month end?This question is hotly being debated in corridors of power. If one goes by service records then he would attain the age of superannuation on June 30. However after the Supreme Court verdict, his appointment order to the post of Director, CBI had stated that. Sharma would continue to be the Director till further orders.Nowhere it was stated in the order that he would hold this post for two years.

Jha to join RAW

Kishore Jha is all set to join the RAW as a Director. He is 1982 batch IPS officer of Manipur-Tripura cadre.

Tenure of Sarma to end

Tenure of J S Sarma, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Rural Development is coming to an end on May 31. He is 1971 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre.

Will Bimol Singh be DGP of Manipur?

Bimol Singh 1969 batch IPS officer is likely to be appointed next DGP of Manipur. Present DGP M Siddiqui is all set to return to the parent Punjab cadre soon.

Shankarnarayanan to replace Dasgupta

Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board S K Dasgupta is being replaced by Principal Secretary Energy K Shankarnarayanan in a day or two. Dasgupta will be appointed Adviser to the Chief Minister.

Bhalla to be Director Shipping

Ajay Kumar Bhalla is joining the Ministry of Shipping as Director. He is 1984 batch IAS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre.

IAS changes in Maharastra

J S Saharia will now be Secretary Agriculture. Saharia who is Commissioner Nagpur Division will be replaced by Aurangabad Divisional Commissioner S K Sharma.Vijay Kumar will be new Divisional Commissioner Aurangabad. S Deshmukh has been made Secretary Water Supply and Sanination.S K Goyal has been appointed Commissioner Agriculture. B A Khatua has been shifted as Sales Tax Commissioner. S Kshatria will be GM BEST (vacant since Rahul Asthana joined GoI in DAE as JS).G S Sandhu will be DG Yashada.

Ratna Vishwanathan to be Director Defence

Ratna G Vishwanathan has been appointed Director in the Ministry of Defence. 1987 batch IAS officer Ranta would join the Ministry in the second week of June.

Sangeeta Singh to join GoI

Sangeeta Singh is joining the Government of India as Director in the Department of Personnel. She is 1986 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre.

Ramanujam appointed MD GIC

P B Ramanujam has been appointed second Managing Director of the General Insurance Corporation (GIC). He is currently General Manager of the National Insurance.

IAS reshuffle in UP

Lalit Shrivastava will be new Chairman and CEO of the Greater NOIDA.Dr Om Prakash has been appointed Secretary Excise. Naveen Chandra Vajpayee will be Principal Secretary Forests.Khanjan Lal has been made Principal Secretary Food and Civil Supplies.Pradip Kumar has been shifted to Panchayti Raj as PS.Pritam Singh has been transferred as PS Home Guards and Civil Defence.Himanshu Kumar has been made Additional Commissioner Sales Tax. K Ravindra Nath and Rajnish Gupta will be Special Secretaries Planning respectively. Abhishek Singh will be Additional Commissioner Rural Development.Arvind Kumar has been shifted to Kanpur as Joint MD AVN.S P Singh has been made Joint MD of Sugar Association. V K Malik and Narendra Bhushan have been appointed Collectors of Behraich and Firozabad respectively.
