Vinod Vaish is new Secretary Telecom

Secretary Labour in Government of India Vinod Vaish has been shifted to Telecom.1966 batch IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre Vaish will also head the Telecom Commission.Secretary Telecom Shyamal Ghosh is superannuating on Friday.

Shyamal Ghosh appointed Administrator USO

Secretary Telecom Shyamal Ghosh who is superannuating on Friday has been appointed Administrator of the multi-crore Universal Social Obligation (USO).This organisation is being set up by the Communications Ministry. Shyamal Ghosh is 1965 batch IAS officer of West Bengal cadre.

Shenoy appointed Labour Secretary

P D Shenoy is the new Labour Secretary in Government of India. 1967 batch IAS officer of Karnataka cadre Shenoy is currently Secretary Nort-East Region.He would succeed Vinod Vaish.

Atul Sinha promoted as Secretary

Additional Secretary Commerce Atul Sinha has been promoted to the rank of Secretary in Government of India. 1968 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer Atul Sinha will now be Secretary North-East Region.He would replace Shenoy.

JVR Prasad Rao appointed Secretary Family Welfare

Special Secretary Health J V R Prasad Rao has been appointed Secretary Family Welfare in Government of India. 1967 batch West Bengal cadre IAS officer Rao would replace Orissa cadre IAS officer A R Nanda who is superannuating on Friday.

Dhanendra Kumar promoted and made CMD REC

Additional Secretary Telecom Dhanendra Kumar has been promoted to the rank of Secretary in Government of India. 1968 batch IAS officer of Haryana cadre who was being tipped to be Secretary Telecom has been appointed CMD of the Rural Electrification Corporation (REC).He would succeed 1966 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre Divakar Dev who is retiring on Friday.

N Raja to be Chairman of Settlement Commission !

Senior most officer in Customs service N Raja is being appointed Chairman of the Settlement Commission.He is scheduled to superannuate next month end.

D K Acharya to head CEIB !

D K Acharya is being tipped to head the Central Economic Intelligence Bureau.1967 batch IRS officer Acharya is scheduled to retire on August 31.

Manbir Singh appointed Ambassador to Hungary

Chief Protocol Officer Manbir Singh has been appointed India,s new Ambassador to Hungary. He is 1976 batch IFS officer.

Additional Secretary level postings today !

Three or four Additional Secretary level postings in Government of India are expected to take place either on Friday or Saturday.
