Zaidi is out of race

Finally Saiyyad Nasim Ahmad Zaidi is out of race for the post of Joint Secretary - Civil Aviation, in Government of India. Despite best efforts of the Union Civil Aviation Minister, Shehnawaz Hussein, 1976 batch IAS officer Zaidi could not make it. Now a fresh panel of three IAS officers will be put up today at the meeting of the CSB.

Who Will win IAS or the Non-IAS ?

The bureaucrats are puzzled over the challenge to the DoPT recommendations for the panel for posting as Director in the Ministry of power. The recommendations have been challenged by a Non-IAS Power secretary in the Government of India. This secretary who has come from BSES - a private company - has contested that that none of the recommended officers have experience in the field of Power. The concerned Secretary, according to the bureaucrats, is cetainly not familiar with the business of GOI. If GoI starts working on this principle, then no officer from the services would be appointed in the ministries. The final decision in this regard is however expected to be taken on November 11 at the CSB meeting.
