Empanelment of 1969 batch IAS officers to the rank of Secretary in the Government of India is to take place in December.Altogether about two dozen officers are reported to have been shortlisted.If reliable sources are to be believed Mssrs P Ghosh, Anil Baijal, Adarsha Mishra,A N Tiwari, P C Parekh ,S K Purkayastha,Pritush Sinha, Radha Singh,P K Lahri, Meenakshi Anand Chaudhry, Sarita Prasad,Ajay Prasad, Mohammad Shafi Pandit,B K Das,N Ramkrishnan,Shekhar Dutt,Vinay Bansal, Kumud Bansal ,P K Hota,Adarsh Kishore, Chitra Chopra ,Bikram Jeet Singh,P C Rawal,Kasturi Gupta Menon and L V Saptharishi ,figure in the list.A couple of officers of this batch will get posts equivalent to the Secretary.

Will Shenoy be Secretary Personnel ?

Grapevine has it that Secretary Labour P D Shenoy may be appointed Secretary Personnel in the Government of India.Name of N N Khanna for the post has been turned down by the Prime Minister.

He was earlier posted as Joint Secretary, Home in Lucknow. It is rumoured that the DM, Azamgarh played the decisive role in Anil Kumar's homecoming. Ram Krishna Swarnakar (1996 Batch IPS) is now back to Lucknow as SP in CBCID department from his district assignment as SP in Mainpuri district.
