Who will be Director Enforcement ?

Who will be the next Director Enforcement in the Government of India ?. Tie is said to be between the 1971 batch Maharastra cadre IAS officer, A K Dua and 1971 batch Gujarat cadre IAS officer, Sudhir Mankad. The post has fallen vacant following the appointment of S S Beloria as Chief Secretary of J & K. 1968 batch IAS officer Beloria will take over as Chief Secretary on December 1.

Dr J S Sharma is Additional Secretary Personnel

Dr J S Sharma is the new Additional Secretary Personnel in Government of India. He is 1971 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre.

Rajiv Kher to return UP

Hectic lobbying is on for the post of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Environment in Government of India. Tenure of 1980 batch IAS officer of UP cadre Rajiv Kher has expired.

Zaidi to be JS Civil Aviation

Dr Syed Nasim Ahmad Zaidi is being appointed Joint Secretary - Civil Aviation in the Government of India. He is 1976 batch IAS officer of UP cadre.

Wisdom of Minister prevails !

The wisdom of the Minister in the Ministry of Power has finally prevailed over the decision of a non-IAS secretary . The poor fellow has now been advised by his superiors to respect the decorum of the GOI by following the norm of choosing the candidates from the names recommended by the DoPT. And the name of an officer from the Customs department is being recommended for the post of Director in the next CSB meeting by the said Secretary.

GoI agrees to increase Uttaranchal IPS cadre

The Government of India has finally agreed to increase the IPS cadre in Uttaranchal to 63. At present there are 42 IPS in the state.

Minister gets rid of IAS officer

The Union Labour Minister, Sahib Singh Verma, has ultimately succeeded in getting DG - ESI, Suman Swaroop, repatriated. Verma, it is said, complained to the Prime Minister and reportedly got 1969 batch IAS officer Suman Swaroop repatriated to UT cadre.

IPS changes in West Bengal

Jyodeb Chakraborty has been appointed IG Prisons. Anil Kumar will be IG Training. S Agrawal has been shifted to the Kolkata Municipal Corporation to head Vigilance Authority. P K Sahay has been made IG Armed Police. R K Johri will be new IG Forests.

IAS changes in UP
Lalit Verma will be new Secretary Basic Education. R S Saxena who was Secretary Basic Education is yet to get posting. A K Singh has been given additional charge of Language.

Bloeria appointed Chief Secretary J& K

Dr Sudhir Singh Bloeria has been appointed new Chief Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir. 1968 batch IAS officer Bloeria is currently Director Enforcement in Government of India. He would succeed I S Malhi on December 1.

Chandra Singh is Member SAT Uttaranchal

Chandra Singh retired IAS officer of 1986 batch has been appointed Member of Uttaranchal SAT.

IAS changes in J&K

Jalil Ahmad khan who is senior to the Chief Secretary designate S S Bloeria has been appointed DG IMPA. H L Kadalbuju will now be Financial Commissioner Revenue. Shafi Pandit has been given additional charge of Finance.

IAS reshuffle in Jharkhand on cards

IAS reshuffle is on cards in Jharkhand. About half a dozen IAS officers including the Home Secretary are to be affected.

P Patnaik will be Chief Conservator of Forests in J & K . Another IFS officer S D Swatantra has been appointed Chairman of the Pollution Control Board.
