K C Mishra to be Secretary Forests and Environment

K C Mishra is being tipped to be the next Secretary, Forests and Environment, in the Government of India. He is 1967 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre. Present Secretary P V Jaikrishnan is superannuating this month end.

Who will be Revenue Secretary ?

Who is going to succeed Revenue Secretary, A V Singh ? If top sources are to be believed the new incumbent would not be from within the Ministry, would not be the choice of Finance Minister Jaswant Singh and would not be from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan or Madhya Pradesh. But new Revenue Secretary would definitely be a 1967 batch IAS officer. Let's wait and watch.

Ajit Sharan loses !

Now the picture is clear. Ajit Sharan is not being sent to Tokyo as Minister Economic. Earlier Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, 1979 batch IAS officer of Haryana, was all set to succeed S Sundareshan as Min(Econ) ,EOI. Tokyo. Some kind of inquiry is reported to have come in the way of Ajit Sharan's appointment.

Diljeet Singh Dogra will be new Deputy Resident Commissioner Himachal Pradesh in Delhi. He is 1988 batch IAS officer. He would succeed Priya Ajeet Singh who has been made Additional Director Industries.
