Thirteen 1968 batch IAS officers who have been empanelled to the rank of Secretary in the Government of India are still waiting in the wings for posting.They are mssrs Arun Khetrapal (Madhya Pradesh),Manmohan Kumar Sardana (West Bengal), J Vasudevan (Karnataka), V K Duggal (UT) ,Dr A V S Reddy (Andhra Pradesh), A M Gokhle (Nagaland), S Regunathan (UT).Santosh Nautiyal (Orissa), Uma Pillai (Uttar Pradesh), Sanjeeb Hota (Orissa), Charan Das Arah (Andhra Pradesh), A K Rastogi (TamilNadu) and Shri Nivas Rath (Orissa).

Mohanty to be Chief Secretary of Orissa

Pratip Kumar Mohanty is now sure to be appointed new Chief Secretary of Orissa. 1967 batch IAS officer Mohanty is currently posted in the Planning Commission. Mohanty would succeed D P Bagchi who is superannuating next month end.

Baswan declines the offer

Secretary Tribal Welfare in the Government of India B S Baswan has declined the offer of the Chief Secretaryship of Chhattisgarh. Baswan is 1967 batch IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre.

Shrivastava or Nimbalkar ?

Who will be the new Chief Secretary of Maharastra ?. Now tie is said to be between 1966 batch IAS officer K C Shrivastava and 1967 batch IAS officer A M Nimbalkar. Nimbalkar is currently Secretary in the Government of India. Ashok Basak and A K Mago seems to have lost the battle. The Post is to fall vacant this month end.

Shivraj Singh gets extension

Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum Shivraj Singh has been granted extension in his tenure. Tenure of 1973 batch Chhattisgarh cadre IAS officer Shivraj Singh had expired on September 14.
