Five new Joint Secretaries to join Finance Ministry Five new Joint Secretaries are joining the Union Finance Ministry this month. They are Mssrs Saurabh Chandra (UP-1978 batch), P K Deb (Rajasthan-1977), Vivek Rae (UT -1978 ), Sanjeev Mishra (Gujarat -1972) and Vinod Rai (Kerala -1972 batch). Rajni Kant Mishra to join CBI Rajni Kant Mishra is set to join the CBI as DIG. He is 1984 batch IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre. Postings of 1971 batch IAS commences in GoI Posting of 1971 batch IAS officers to the rank of Additional Secretary in the Government of India has started. Topper of the batch Harish Chand Gupta is the first to get posting in the Defence Ministry. Shri Nivas Rath not to join GoI !
Ajit Sharan to get foreign posting ! If all goes well in the PMO, Ajit Sharan will be Minister (Econ), EOI ,Tokyo. He is 1979 batch IAS officer of Haryana cadre. The post has fallen vacant following the expiry of Kerala cadre 1976 batch IAS officer, S Sundareshan's tenure. IAS changes in Madhya Pradesh Arun Kumar Gupta has been appointed Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Board of Professional Education. He is 1967 batch IAS officer. Principal Secretary Energy K Shankar Narayanan has been made PS Commerce and Industries. He replaces Vijay Singh who is joining the GoI as Additional Secretary Chemicals and Fertilizers.Tajwar Rehman Sahni will be new Principal Secretary Revenue. Principal Secretary Revenue Mala Shrivastava has been shifted to Rehabilitation, Religious Trust and Endowments and Twenty Point Implementation.Shiv Shekhar Shukla will be CEO of Hoshangabad District Panchayat. Amar Singh Rathod is DPR Rajasthan Now IAS officer will not be Director Public Relations in Rajasthan. Senior most officer in the department Dr Amar Singh Rathod has been appointed DPR Rajasthan Government. Pradeep Kumar new PS Irrigation Haryana PradeepKumar has been appointed Principal Secretary Irrigation in Haryana. He is 1972 batch IAS officer. Transport Minister, Commissioner at loggerheads The relations between the Gujarat Transport Minister, Narain Patel and the state Transport Commissioner, AM Tiwari have soured to an extent that the matter has been brought to the knowledge of the Chief minister, Narendra Modi. Both the Minister and the Commissioner are not pulling on well for quite some time. MP Home Ministry's justification questioned The all-powerful home Ministry in Madhya Pradesh has shown its reluctance to promote the IPS to the rank of ADGs as it says, "they are ample". The Home Ministry's plea is that there are already 16 ADGs in the state as against the number of posts being only Eight. IPS Association, which has decided to take up the matter with full might, is upset that why such a reasoning is not given in the case of IAS. The Association in turn wants to know the number of Principal Secretary posts in the state and their existing number.
