With Kamal Pande being appointed next Cabinet Secretary, the guessing game has now shifted on the next Home secretary. Initially three IAS from UP - B K Chaturvedi, Rajiv Ratan Shah, Nripendra Mishra
Were much ahed in the race but now since the Cabinet secretary designate is from UP, it appears that the next Home Secretary would come as a surprise to all. One thing is certain new Home Secretary would be from 1966 batch..

Suyogya Mishra to be new Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh
