Post of the Secretary - Border Management in the Ministry of Home Affairs is likely to be down-graded to the level of Additional Secretary. The post was held by R C A Jain who has taken over as Secretary - Agriculture.

Dayachari to return Andhra Pradesh !

If North Block sources are to be believed, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandra Babu Naidu, has asked for the premature repatriation of 1980 batch IAS officer, P Dayachari. Chandra Babu is said to be annoyed with Dayachari for his alleged support to Karnataka in the capacity of Chairman of the Tobacco Board.

Is NCERT Secretary's posting legal ?

NCERT Secretary, Satinder Singh, is the 1979 batch Customs Service officer. Postings of such officers is made by the HRD Ministry but in this case there is no such approval. It is now a matter of debate whether the posting of Singh is legal.
