21 IAS officers to retire this month end

Altogether 21 IAS officers are superannuating this month.They are Mssrs Ashok Nath and Pratibha Karan (UT),Aruna Rao Cheeli (AP),Nawal Kishore Sharma (Bihar),R S Vaghela and K A Patel (Gujarat),Hira Lal Kadalbaju,Mushtaq Ahmad , Habibul Hassan Beg and Mohammad Ashraf (J&K),Manish Chandra Satyawadi (Karnataka),S K Appu (Kerala),Atul Sinha(Madhya Pradesh),B B Sharma, Gurinder Singh Sandhu and V R Khobargade (Maharastra) Ms Ravneet Kaur (Punjab),N Akhimoolamand P Shivakumar (TamilNadu),Dr Surya Prasad,(UP) and Satendra Nath Ghosh(West Bengal).

Will Gen Malik be Governor ?

Grapevine has it that former Indian Army Chief, Gen Malik is lobbying real hard to be the Governor of some North Eastern state. A little bird told us that one of the Governors of a North Eastern state has expressed his desire to quit the high office owing to personal reasons and that is what has provided the worthy general the impetus to begin hectic lobbying.

D P Singh shifted to Defence Ministry

Additional Secretary and FA Steel in Government of India, D P Singh has been appointed Additional Secretary (Procurement) in the Ministry of Defence by downgrading the vacant post of Special Secretary (Procurement). He is 1970 batch IAS officer of UP cadre.

DG Doordarshan S Y Qureshi has been appointed Additional Secretary and FA Steel in Government of India. He is 1971 batch IAS officer of Haryana cadre.
