Achyut Madhav Gokhle is being tipped to be next Secretary North-East in Government of India.He is 1968 batch IAS officer of Nagaland cadre.The post will fall vacant this month end following the superannuation of Atul Sinha.

V K Agrawal will take over as Commissioner Tribal Welfare.

IPS changes in UP

Chandrika Rai will be new DIG Saharanpur Range. Dinesh Chandra Pande has been shifted to PAC Agra as DIG. K S Pippal,Ramkumar and Sanjay Singhal will be new SPs of Basti,Hamirpur and Azamgarh respectively. K K Pushkar and Phool Singh Verma will be ASPs of Hamirpur and Bijnore respectively.Anil Kumar Rai has been shifted to Vigilance as ASP.
