Only IPS officer in India with 4 government houses!

Alright..it's official now! Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has again displayed his open fondness for his favourite IPS officer and allotted a plush house to favourite super cop, DIG Ludhiana Siddhartha
Chattopadhyaya in the circuit house area in Chandigarh. However, this time raising some strong eyebrows from a huge faction of IPS and IAS officers in Punjab. The high security area in sector 39 where only Secretary level IAS officers and DGP, ADGP Level IPS are allotted houses is buzz with the Chief Minister's open inclination towards 86 batch IPS officer,Chattopadhyaya. Till date numerous IG's have tried to get a prime allotment in the most elite and prestigious settlement area of the top most IAS and IPS oficers of the state, but of no avail.Senior officers say that Chattopadhyaya is too junior to be allotted a house number 21, sector 39 in the prestigious circuit house area by the Chief Minister as many senior IPS officers have been surpassed in the process
who are waiting in the queue. What is interesting to note is that star campaigner of the anti-corruption drives against Badal and the Akalis, Chattopadhyaya already has been allotted two houses in Chandigarh, 1413/19B where his parents stay and 1413b/19 B, which is right on top of 1413,where his wife and Children stay. Besides, he already has an official residence meant for the DIG Ludhiana range in Ludhiana. Senior IPS officers also contend that as DIG Ludhiana, Chattopadhyaya cannot be legally awarded a houe in the prestigious area as his posting is in Ludhiana and not in Chandigarh.Well the moral of the story is if you are the Chief Minister's blue eyed IPS officer, it begins with a desired posting ...goes upto choiced allotments and only God and the CM knows ends where? The story is not about Chattopadhyaya managing a house in the prestigious circuit House area. That might very well be the Chief Minister's discretion. It's all about one favourite IPS officerof the CM with 4 Government houses in his kitty.
