Anil Kumar Upadhyay has been appointed Joint Secretary Civil Aviation in Government of India. He is 1975 batch IAS officer.

Dr Anup Chandra Pandey is unlikely to go to Madhya Pradesh as Secretary to Chief Minister Uma Bharti. 1984 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre Dr Pandey has been asked to join the secretariat of Uma Bharti.

Secretary IT R Parshuram has been given additional charge of Secretary to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti. He is 1978 batch IAS officer.

Will Shrarma be DGP of Uttaranchal ?

Grapevine has it that R C Sharma is being appointed new DGP of Uttaranchal. 1970 batch IPS officer Sharma is back to the parent cadre from UP deputation and awaiting posting.

Mizoram Chief Secretary to continue

Mizoram Chief Secretary H V Lalringa is going to continue. Had the MNF voted out, the first casualty would have been the Chief Secretary, H V Lalringa , IAS (Manipur- Tripura,1972 batch) whose extended deputation was to have ended in February,2004. He is very close to the Chief Minister of Mizoram . In fact they are good friends since college days. However, now it is quite certain the State Govt. would move the GOI to extend his tenure.

Kaun benega Rajasthan Chief Secretary ?

Now names of three Rajasthan cadre IAS officers presently posted in Delhi have started doing the round for the post of Chief Secretary Rajasthan. They are Mssrs N S Sisodia,Dr Adarsh Kishore and Ms Chitra Chopra. Final decision is likely to be taken in a week or two.

Suspended ADG rank IPS officer Rakesh Mittal has been reinstated in Uttaranchal.

Will Parimal Rai be Secretary to MP CM ?

Parimal Rai is likely to be appointed Secretary to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti. 1985 batch UT cadre IAS officer Rai had been PS to Uma Bharti when the latter was Sports Minister in Government of India. Rai is currently in United States of America.
