Outgoing Secretary Personnel in the Government of India A K Agrawal has been appointed Member of the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB). He is retired 1966 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre.

Where Cabinet decides postings !

Karnataka and Jammu and Kashmir, would one believe , are the only two states in the country where the Cabinet still decides vital transfers and postings. In other states, it is the CM who does it all.

Oza is new DGP of Bihar

D P Oza has been appointed new DGP of Bihar. He is 1967 batch IPS officer.Ashish Ranjan Sinha has been made ADG Vigilance. Santosh Kumar has been appointed ADG CID.

Collectors beware !

Kumar not to be OSD to Bihar governor

Bihar government is learnt to have refused to appoint Mithilesh Kumar as an OSD to the state Governor. Only Rabri Devi would be able to tell the reason behind it. Mithilesh Kumar who is 1974 batch IAS officer was on deputation to the Bihar Government as Secretary to the Bihar Governor V C Pande.

Gwalior lucky for ASP's

Gwalior city has proved to be lucky for not one or two but four IPS who remained there on the post of ASP one after the other. While two of them became the DGP in Madhya Pradesh, the other two in Chhattisgarh. These lucky officers are SC Tripathi, SM Shukla, Dinesh Jugran and Ashok Darbari.

Ravi Mittal on his return from Central Deputation has been made Director Industries. Ajay Vinayak has been appointed Divisional Commissioner Saran. Pankaj Kumar,Sandip Paundrik,K P Ramiya and Pradip Kumar have been posted as DMs of Purnia, Begusarai,Malpur and Darbhanga respectively.

Reshuffle in Air Force

In a major reshuffle in the Indian Air Force, Air Marshal M McMahon has been appointed the new Vice Chief of Air Staff at Air Headquarters.
In other changes effected, Air Marshal S P Tyagi, who is presently Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Central Air Command, has been shifted as AOC-in-C South Western Air Command in Ahmedabad.
Air Marshal B M Bali, on promotion, has been appointed the new AOC-in-C Central Air Command and Air Marshal Ajit Bhawnani has been appointed as senior Air Staff Officer at Central Air Command.
Air Vice Marshal S Y Savur promoted to the rank of Air Marshal has been appointed as senior Air Staff Officer Eastern Air Command and Air Vice Marshal P K Mehra as the new Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Intelligence) at Air Headquarters .
