One dozen IAS officers to retire this month Altogether one dozen IAS officers are retiring this year in the country. They are Mssrs B N Jha (Bihar), R M Joshi (Gujarat), Pradeep Baijal (Madhya Pradesh), N L Lakhanpal and R K Pingle (Maharashtra), K Rajendran Nair (Punjab) Bhure Lal , Satya Narain Shukla and Padam Singh (UP), A Deb , Subrato Mitra and Ajay Kumar Das (West Bengal). R P Singh promoted Raj Pratap Singh is the first IAS officer of 1983 batch to get promotion to the rank of Joint Secretary in the Government of India. R P Singh who is UP cadre officer is currently PS to the Prime Minister. Namita Datta goes to Cornell University Namita Datta, 1991 batch IAS officer of AGMUT cadre is doing PhD in Urban Studies at Cornell University. Post of CVO Air India and Jairath Secretary to the Maharastra Governor V K Jairath is not getting the post of CVO in Air India. Earlier the name of 1982 batch IAS officer of Maharastra cadre, Jairath, had figured prominently for the post. Who will succeed Seth ? Who will replace D P S Seth, Member Services Telecom, who is superannuating this month end ? Tie is said to be between Prithvi Pal Singh and B P Ramchandran. IAS officer dies TamilNadu cadre 1976 batch IAS officer Ravindra Kumar Sharma died in Chennai on Thursday. He was 55. IPS changes in Punjab Paramjit Singh Gill on promotion has been appointed DIG Patiala IRB Administration. Param Pal Singh DIG has been shifted to Phillor Police Academy. Rajender Pal Singh Barad has been made SSP Gurdaspur. Varinder Kumar will now be SSP Jullandhar. Action to be taken against IPS officer West Bengal Government has decided to take disciplinary action against 1998 batch IPS officer Anirban Ray. The officer who is ADC to the Governor had addressed a press conference against the state Governor Viren J Shah. |
