S S Meenakshi Sunderam has been appointed new Secretary-Disinvestment in the Government of India. 1968 batch Karnataka cadre IAS officer, Meenakshi Sunderam, is currently Secretary-Department of Water Supply. He will succeed Madhya Pradesh cadre 1966 batch IAS officer, Pradip Baijal, who is superannuating this month end.

Joseph to succeed Bhurelal

D G Shipping, D T Joseph, will be the new Secretary Coordination. 1968 batch Maharashtra cadre IAS officer, Joseph, will succeed 1966 batch UP cadre IAS officer, Bhurelal, who is superannuating this month end.

Ashok Saikia promoted in PMO

Ashok Saikia has been promoted to the rank of Additional Secretary in the PMO. He is 1971 batch IAS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre.

Rastogi to replace Lakhanpal

Tamil Nadu cadre 1968 batch IAS officer, A K Rastogi, has been appointed Secretary Inter-State Council. He is currently Special Secretary and Mission Director-Oilseeds and Pulses, in the Ministry of Agriculture. He will replace Maharastra cadre 1967 batch IAS officer, N L Lakhanpal, who is superannuating this month end.

Palat Mohan Das gets Secretary rank in GoI

Palat Mohan Das will join the Centre as Secretary-Department of Water Supply. He is 1968 batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre. He has been posted in place of S S Meenakshi Sunderam who is joining as Secretary-Disinvestment later this week.

A V S Reddy, DG National Institute of Rural Development, Hyderabad has been promoted to the rank of Secretary in the Government of India. He is 1968 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre.

Post of Development Commissioner down-graded

Post of Development Commissioner Handloom in the Government of India has been down-graded. 1969 batch IAS officer of West Bengal cadre, Ms Kasturi Gupta Menon, will be the new Development Commissioner Handloom in the Ministry of Textiles. She will succeed 1967 batch Punjab cadre IAS officer, K R Nair, who is superannuating this month end.

G S Sahni has been appointed new DG-Shipping. 1971 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, Sahni, will replace 1968 batch Maharashtra cadre IAS officer, D T Joseph, who is going to Delhi as Secretary-Coordination.

Lalli promoted as Additional Secretary

B S Lalli, Joint Secretary-Defence has been promoted to the rank of Additional Secretary in the Government of India. 1971 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre has been made Member-Secretary, National Capital Region Planning Board, in place of A K Jha.
