IAAS officer to get UN assignment

Another Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IAAS) officer, Amitabh Mukhopadhyay, of 1980 batch, is being tipped for a UN assignment. He will be joining as a Consultant in the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Suresh Kumar is Dy Secretary Coal

Suresh Kumar, an IC&CES officer from the 1993 batch, has joined as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Coal under the Central Staffing Scheme. He is one of the first officers from the 1993 batch to have been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary under the Central Staffing scheme. Prior to this, Suresh Kumar was working in the prestigious Tax Research Unit in the Ministry of Finance.

Director Calcutta Airport transferred

Director of the Calcutta Airport Roshan Lal has been transferred to Delhi as Executive Director (Cargo) Airport Authority of India.

Changes in PIB

After the Cabinet reshuffle, has come the turn of certain changes in the Press Information Bureau (PIB). While the Director (Public Relations) in the PIB, Anil Kumar Saxena, will look after the publicity work of Law Minister, Chetanya Prasad has been asked to look after the work of Health and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry headed by Ms. Sushama Swaraj. Similarly, while BN Mishra would be looking after Information Technology, AA Rao has been asked to take care of Environment and Forests and Rural Development and Agriculture. Mohammad Yunus Siddiqui will however be looking after Railway's Publicity and Public Relations.

IAS association is angry in Punjab

IAS association in Punjab is angry over the suspension of IAS officer D K Tiwari. Association members have met the Chief Secretary to demand the reinstatement of 1994 batch IAS officer Tiwari .
